Modular Machine Safety Systems with Wireless or Fieldbus Communication

We deliver complete machine safety solutions, from distributed safety control systems and safety devices to aluminium safety fencing.

Our systems are built around Safety Simplifier, a modular safety controller available as both distributed and cabinet-mounted units. E-stops, buttons and selector switches can be integrated directly on the Simplifiers, while door locks, safety sensors and other safety devices connect plug & play.

Simplifiers communicate using wireless safety communication, CAN bus or black channel safety, while fieldbus gateways enable integration with higher-level control systems via protocols such as PROFIsafe and EtherCAT.

The system is configured using intuitive flow programming, simplifying safety logic configuration and diagnostics.

Distributed Safety Architecture – Installed Plug & Play

Simplifier controllers can be installed close to the machine, enabling a distributed safety architecture that reduces wiring and simplifies troubleshooting.

The system supports both distributed and cabinet-mounted installations, allowing flexible machine safety design.

Local safety stations can be created directly on the machine or safety fence, where E-stops, buttons and selector switches are integrated on the controller. Safety devices connect plug & play, simplifying installation and commissioning.

Smart & Safe Connectivity

Multiple Simplifiers communicate using three safety communication methods:
• Wireless
• CAN bus
• Black channel (safety communication over standard networks such as Ethernet, Bluetooth or 5G)

For integration with higher-level control systems, fieldbus gateways support industrial safety protocols such as:
• PROFIsafe
• EtherCAT

This allows the system to operate as:
• A stand-alone distributed safety system
• An extension of existing safety PLC systems
