The SH4-3-0800-B-AP-5 from Datasensing is a Type 4 active/passive safety light curtain engineered for body protection applications.
The system consists of an active transmitter/receiver unit and a passive reflector unit, offering a simple and cost-effective solution for perimeter or access guarding without the need for electrical wiring on the passive side.

With a protection height of 800 mm, 3-beam configuration, and 400 mm resolution, the SH4 provides dependable detection of human entry within a working range of 0.5 to 8 m.
It meets the highest safety classifications – SIL 3, PL e, Category 4 – and ensures fast response times (≤ 15 ms) for safe machine stopping.

The unit operates on 24 V DC ± 20 %, includes dual PNP OSSD safety outputs, and uses an M12 5-pin connector for simple integration.
Its robust aluminum and polycarbonate housing with IP65/IP67 protection allows installation even in demanding industrial environments.

Ideal for guarding robot cells, conveyor entry points, or machine perimeters, the SH4 series combines high reliability, compact design, and easy installation for enhanced operator safety.
