Description
Used when a process or product needs to be protected. The door is kept locked until the process can be safely interrupted. Typically, one to two process locks are connected per Simplifier.
Functions:
- Emergency stop: immediately stops the entire system
- Request entry: starts a stop sequence with no safety requirement. When the door is opened, the lock sensor triggers a safe stop.
- Lock: keeps the door locked until the process is complete
- Reset: after verifying that no one is in the protected area, the system can be restarted
